Meet the Farmers
-
JP
JP is the driving force behind our farm, dedicated to local, sustainable food and community connections. With a background as a former zookeeper and current animal agriculture teacher, he ensures ethical practices in meat and egg production.
In addition to farming, JP is committed to restoring native ecosystems by planting native prairie and savannah habitats, using them as forage and food sources for our animals. This ecological focus drives everything from pasture management to plant integration.
When not working on the farm, JP can be found with a cup of coffee in hand, planning the next project or chasing after our dog, Pippin. Farming is his way of reconnecting with nature and giving back to the community.

Little Farmer ™
The youngest (and arguably most enthusiastic) member of our team, Zephyr is full of curiosity and joy. As the inspiration behind our farm’s name—Zephyr, meaning “the west wind” in Greek—he reminds us to embrace life’s natural rhythms. Whether he’s helping feed the rabbits, following our ducks around the yard, or searching for pollinators in the native prairie, Zephyr brings a playful spirit to every task. His boundless energy and wonder inspire us daily to see the farm through fresh eyes.

Kate
Kate is the heart and soul of the farm, keeping everything running smoothly. With a knack for organization, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the land, she’s the one making sure nothing is overlooked. Kate finds inspiration in quiet moments, enjoying a good book surrounded by nature. She’s always on the lookout for innovative products to offer, whether it’s unique seasonal preserves, handcrafted farm goods, or eco-friendly packaging solutions. Whether it’s designing a new garden space or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen, Kate’s energy and dedication remind us why we do what we do. She’s happiest when surrounded by family, laughter, and the smell of fresh earth.
Why We Farm
Farming isn’t just a job for us—it’s a way of life. We’re here because we believe in the power of food to bring people together. Our goals are simple: to provide fresh, wholesome food for our community while staying connected to the land and each other. Every seed we plant and every harvest we gather is a step toward building a stronger, healthier, and more connected community.
